They say good things happen in threes and that's never been truer at GoJoe this week after two nominations for the Great British Workplace Wellbeing Awards adding to one company-wide agreement not to release footage of the Christmas party karaoke.
And while the rendition of Take That’s Back For Good quite rightly remains in a Soho basement booth, we’re more than happy to sing loudly about being up for Platform of the Year and Best Physical Initiative of the Year.
It’s been a record year of activity, which has seen our community of Joes from over 150 countries and hundreds of organisations use GoJoe to motivate themselves and colleagues to get and stay fit and healthy.
Within the first month of GoJoe, users average a 400% increase in activity and 7 in 10 self-report a big jump in wellbeing across physical, mental and social health. And we’re proud to not just preach to the choir (don’t worry, still no singing from us) of the already fit and healthy, with 3 in 4 previously inactive users exceeding WHO exercise guidelines during a GoJoe challenge.
The Best Physical Initiative is a combined nomination with our partners NatWest after rolling out GoJoe’s annual health benefit ‘Engage’ bank-wide in late 2023 and the delivery of the Go!24 Challenge to coincide with the build-up to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The partnership delivered, getting over 23,000 employees more active and, over the 18 months of working together, GoJoe has played its part in reducing absenteeism costs at NatWest by 10%.
Phil Steele, GoJoe co-founder said: "Awards and nominations are always a nice bonus to what we do—especially when you don’t ask to be nominated or pay for them! It’s recognition for the hard work put in by the whole team this year, as well as the success we’ve had with our partners NatWest and across our clients and users. It shows we’re doing the right things and helping people get healthier, which is the whole point of GoJoe.”

To conclude, this recognition at the Great British Workplace Wellbeing Awards underscores the impact GoJoe is having as an employee benefits platform From helping employees across 150 countries get fitter and healthier to our successful partnership with NatWest, we’re proud to be driving meaningful change in workplace wellbeing. As we continue to motivate teams to improve their physical, mental, and social health, these awards serve as a testament to the hard work and results we’ve achieved. Here’s to even greater success in the year ahead!
