NatWest and GoJoe launch Go!24

GoJoe to ignite NatWest’s sporting summer with bank wide team-challenge

With a busy summer of sport on the horizon, NatWest colleagues around the world will be taking on their own activity challenge this June with Go!24, a virtual team-based competition delivered in partnership with GoJoe.

GoJoe, the leading employee experience app for health and fitness, will host the two-week challenge for staff to compete with and against people they know in a bid to top the leaderboards. Colleagues will create their own teams and compete across numerous different activities to swim, run, bike and hike their way to victory.

And this year the challenge has a focus on individual goals and encouraging NatWest colleagues to move more, enjoy exercising and drive better physical, mental and social health, together. And with over 45 potential activities to log and a weighted points system to level the playing field, the GoJoe app ensures Go!24 is fully inclusive and available to all.

The Go!24 challenge follows and builds upon last year’s successful Go!23 which saw over 15,000 NatWest staff battle it out in 3,200 teams, collectively log 10,324 days’ worth of activity and travel over 654,000km. The challenge saw a significant increase in activity levels for everyone from the inactive to the super active, which persisted post-challenge.  Now rolled out as an all-year round benefit to help reduce health costs and foster inclusivity and connection, the GoJoe app will be utilising its rich engagement to serve unrivalled (anonymised) health data to NatWest with a view to optimising organisational health.

For Go!24, NatWest will also be using GoJoe’s brand new interactive map feature to track the organisation’s progress from Edinburgh to Folkstone before heading off around the world and ending in LA.

Team GB legend Victoria Pendleton is leading the charge with the challenge, captaining her own team on the GoJoe app. The two-time Olympic champion even managed to pick up her first points for Team Victoria on the opening day with a cycle from St Andrews Square in Edinburgh to NatWest HQ at Gogarburn as part of their own Baton Relay kick off.

As well as the team challenge, NatWest staff also get access to the wider premium features of GoJoe which includes curated health and fitness journeys, live and on-demand webinars from elite athletes and coaches and exclusive workouts and wellbeing videos and audio tracks.

GoJoe co-founder Will Turner said:

“Teaming up with NatWest again is really exciting and it’s great to build on last year’s success to deliver Go!24 on the eve of the Olympic Games and NatWest’s partnership with Team GB. Go!23 demonstrated the huge value that a social product can have on individuals in motivating them to exercise more and see a positive impact on their physical, mental and social health. We’re delighted to be able to do the same again this year with Go!24.”

Jen Tippin,Group Chief Operating Officer, NatWest Group said:

“I’m so pleased that we’ve partnered once again with GoJoe for our global wellbeing challenge, Go!24. It serves as a brilliant opportunity for colleagues at NatWest Group to join together on the GoJoe app and focus on building new healthy habits for the long-term – whether that’s committing to everyday movement, practicing mindfulness, finding better balance, or getting improved sleep.”
